Empowering Solar blockchain
by redesigning Launcher app

Challange
The original launcher app for the Solar Blockchain ecosystem was outdated, hard to navigate, and didn't support the platform's growing needs.
Approach
Redesign the launcher to improve usability, increase user engagement, and support the growing ecosystem of blockchain-based games.
Outcome
Redesign the launcher to improve usability, increase user engagement, and support the growing ecosystem of blockchain-based games.
Identifying UX Gaps in the Existing Launcher
The original launcher lacked visual hierarchy, consistency, and intuitive navigation.
These pain points created friction in key user flows and revealed an opportunity to reimagine the experience from the ground up.

Analysed 8+ Competitors to Benchmark User Expectations
I conducted a feature comparison of top gaming launchers—Steam, Epic, GOG, etc.—to identify:
Standard UX patterns in navigation, home and library design
Gaps where Solar could differentiate (e.g., game patch transparency and ecosystem integration)
This helped build a strategy rooted in user habits while exploring fresh ideas unique to the blockchain ecosystem.

User stories
I defined key user stories for players and platform administrators, including:

Low fidelity prototype
Created low-fidelity wireframes covering the entire user flow from onboarding to gameplay.
These were validated through rapid user testing and iterated based on feedback.

UI: Home Dynamic Homepage
Dynamic homepage with personalized game suggestions, spotlight banners, and quick access to downloads.

UI: Game page overview
Each game has a dedicated page with videos, patch notes, reviews, and clear CTAs to install or play. Integrated wallet connectivity for blockchain features

UI: Store
Streamlined game discovery with categories, tags, and improved sorting.
Emphasis on visuals and one-click install flow. Highlighted web3 features like wallet integration
